PhD studentship available with the Digital Signal Processing and Communications group at ECIT, Queen’s University Belfast, UK to work on the EU funded project CROWN, please see http://www.fp7- crown.eu/ . The PhD Programme in Agrobiodiversity is aimed at the enhancement of human resource capacities in the use and management of genetic variation in agricultural and natural systems, in order to improve the sustainability of agricultural systems and the conservation of genetic resources for the well-being of present and future generations.
The Programme is structured in the following curricula:
Curriculum A - Plant genetic resources: teaching and research activities take place in ENEA Research Center at "La Casaccia", a few kilometres from Rome;
Curriculum B - Functional biodiversity in agroecosystems : teaching and research activities take place in Pisa, at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.

It aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB's developing member countries to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development- related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. The ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in 20 academic institutions located in 10 countries within the Region. School of Design and Environment is one of institution participating in this ADB-JSP scholarship program.
